Walked past there today, going round me old mans up the road. Saw the OB outside the legion. Wondered what it was all about. Looked like they were searching behind the shops. And yeh, that is big news round there.

Elm Park is alright as is Romford, bits of Harold Hill,Collier Row and loads of other places Havering way and further east. The way people talk you'd think loads on here swan about in Mayfair. For a young couple the main thing is to try to get on the property ladder.its not the end the world if that's not possible.

Weird how failing pubs tend to burn down more regularly than ones doing well isnt it?

Brewed under licence is always shit whether it's San Miguel Stella or krone bourgeois. Even kingfisher cobra tyskie and lech are now brewed here under licence and are nothing like the original.

My nan and grandad moved there from Plaistow. Their local was THE GOOD INTENT where the fighter pilots from RAF Hornchurch used to drink.
It’s probably changed a lot. Not been there for donkeys years.
Toe Rag its changed enormously. Now you hardly ever get any RAF pilots in there, in fact this has been the case since they built houses on the airfield....

Almost bought in Kilmartin Way in 2005, but ended up in Hornchurch, which has worked out well as I sold my maisonette and am now in my next property there. I heard a while back they were sticking flats on the green space that was by Kilmartin Way - no surprise there. I actually heard also that the Good Intent is a perfectly fine pub now as under new management.

Partly because (some) foreign lager is miles better than the "brewed under licence in the UK" shit.
Urquell, (proper) Budweiser, Loewenbraeu, Warsteiner to mention 4.

What about The Bank, is that just a food place, they were just opening it when we lived over that way.
Tap Room in Upminster worth the bus ride or even a walk via the parks
